NAIVETY & IGNORANCE, INNOCENCE & EXCELLENCE

A naïve person is someone with childish innocence view of the world. Children are usually innocent and non-discerning.  That is the expected pattern since there is no anticipation of harm. They dwell in bliss. When an adult is naïve however, it is no virtue. Ignorance in this day and age is a pathway to harm, abuse and monumental fraud against the person, possessions, opportunities or fundamental rights

Innocence on the other hand is a virtue. In the court of law, we hear the accused person plead “innocent” to the charge brought against him.  To be innocent is to be free of guilt. Innocence does not depict blindness to the existence of vices, influences and entrapments in the world and the ever present opportunity to commit a negative act without being apprehended and how not to be apprehended. It is the refusal, the resolute decision not to commit, take advantage or indulge oneself at that point in time.

Everyone is aware that ingestion of chemical substances is fatal. That is Knowledge. Readiness to ingest a harmful substance due to lack discernment is Naivety. (No wonder keep out of reach of children is printed on medication) Not taking time to verify the nature of a possible harmful substance and mistakenly ingesting or causing others to ingest it is “Punishable ignorance”.

Innocence however, is knowing a harmful substance exists, having full awareness of outcome of its ingestion with possible examples and   making conscious effort that it is not ingested by oneself and others

The Bible recommends for us Innocence of evil. We will indeed have an excellent entity – Business concern, relationship, society, if we overcome evil by the weapon of innocence

Innocence is a command. It is also a wise choice- the best choice. For corporations to record excellent Year-end profit, they require personnel who do not create and explore leaks in the system.  Corporations embrace the culture of continuous improvement, meaning no one has got it all fixed. Excellent people will build up the Balance Sheet while naïve, ignorant and corrupt people will deplete it.

When we live as children of God, being fully aware of our environment but choosing to be innocent of the lure of money, entrapments of fashion,  lure of easy virtue, training (by the Holy Spirit and encouragement of a Christian community )our taste palate distaste and detest sin, 

When we  make  the fear of God our utmost. When we seek to serve God by daily business engagement platforms ; be it as an employee, trainee, employer, academic, artiste, social worker, SME, etc.. We are excellent

A resolute person who fears God and sets himself apart from evil may be laughed at by others. Who have not yet come to know the Lord.  He may even be wrongly classified and jeered at as being naïve.

When such happens, the excellent person should hold her head up in confidence, realizing that the others are the ignorant ones .

Stand apart, Be different. Stand for God.

Be Innocent. Be excellent!

Romans 16:19b “I want you to be wise about what is good, and innocent about what is evil.”

Celebrate your innocence.

Wash up Clean up and Adorn

"Not much time left. If the rapture were to happen today, in 7 years, its all over".

That was my thought as I took  the elevator yesterday. I saw a need to repent a need to re examine myself, my intentions and expectations. The Bible says to the standing to take heed lest he falls.

The Son of Man will surely return; but will He find faith on earth? I usually answer to this by saying He will find me.

Salvation is personal. These are the days we should be living ready so we go with the first flight- The Rapture of the saints. Let us clean up, wash up and adorn ourselves with righteousness

..... mind you, when the Rapture happens, Scientists, Media & opinion leaders of the world will debunk it saying its the same way MH 370  vanished. Remember also, that with the current level of uncleanliness in the church, many many Christians and leaders will be left behind, these will be called upon further deceive many via various media analyses in the media.

May you and I not be of that sorry lot

The trumpet is giving a definite sound!

Prayer: Lord please help us to escape the entrapments of this world blinding us to the reality of your coming. Help us to see the Love you have for us.
May our garments be White and unspotted. Worthy of you

Christ - Constantly seeking us

On a daily basis, we are confronted with sad realities of these days. Conflicts that defy diplomacy, problems that defy technology. Sad realities that 'safe havens' may no longer exist.

We have heard of genocide, wars, famine, diseases,etc. These days, we have all of these happening same time and more!

In addition there is terrorism, plane crashes, planes disappear, ocean liner wrecks, break out of  diseases, new ideologies that threat traditional ways of governance, threats of war by world powers, in- country wars, drought, Poverty in the midst of plenty, typhoons and hurricanes, bushfire, kidnapping, baby factories, using humans as shields and many more.

From Asia, Europe, Africa, Middle east, USA and all over. no one is at ease. There is fear everywhere. Who will be the next 'Ebola' victim? and when you are on a flight, you stare at the flight map most hours of the flight or count the minutes as they pass by. As you disembark, the threat is modified, now it may be the fear of terrorists who could be a lone fundamentalist residing in an upscale area of a city in North America.

Is there is a  mandate to destroy mankind? I am reminded of Joel 1:4 "that which the palmer worm hath left hath the locust eaten; and that which the locust hath left hath the cankerworm eaten; and that which the canker worm hath left hath the caterpiller eaten.". There is just a threat confronting every category of people. Where lies our help?

  

During the World cup in Brazil, The Lord Jesus showed up and announced himself.  Really? Yes he did.

There was no way you could have missed the picture of  Christ the Redeemer. it was everywhere. with arms stretched out, Christ told the world to come to Him. Did we hear? he spoke through the celebs, through the betting company who popped him as a hot air balloon over Melbourne. he spoke through the remarkable images we saw on television as the sun rose and rested, through the spectacular fireworks display. He spoke through the most powerful media:

Football/ Soccer, the most beloved sport in the world, and through Coca-cola, the most recognized brand in the World.

Some thought they were mocking him, but were preaching him. Satirical pictures to deride Suarez preached Christ. Others were promoting their brands but indeed, they were the colt on which my Master rode to announce Himself. I agree with Paul in Phillipians 1:18 where he says "But what does it matter? The important thing is that in every way, whether from false motives or true, Christ is preached. And because of this I rejoice. Yes, and I will continue to rejoice" .oooooh worship Him Lord of Lords. Every Knee shall bow and every tongue confess the Lordship of Christ.

Now may we not know this season of our visitation?

Regardless of the community, beliefs and ideologies to which you were born, Christ who met the Samaritan woman at the well, and Zachy the tax collector, who went into his house and had a meal with him, is waiting for  meals with you.

The first as you open the door of your heart (Rev 3:30) "Look! I stand at the door and knock. If you hear my voice and open the door, I will come in, and we will share a meal together as friends."

The second is The Marriage Supper of the Lamb Rev 19:9 "Blessed are those who are invited to the marriage supper of the Lamb"

Spectacular and exciting life is promised you. free of pain, fear, conflict and all such things. We shall be sons of God and walk in streets of gold. The glory lost in Adam has been restored by Christ. He calls you to partake. There is a house waiting for your name to be put on it. There is a crown for you. There are angels waiting to serve you. There is a rulership you will become a part of.

You were made for His pleasure to partake in His glory. Take it back in Christ Jesus. Our time of ultimate salvation is neeeear. Christ the redeemer- Jesus Christ is the VISA.

Let Him stamp you in
